Apple Security Programs: Which One Suits You Best?

Investing in security for your device is always a great idea... but some applications on the market are better than others. Thankfully, we're going to cover some of the best security applications for your device to strengthen the confidence you have regarding your product. With this being said, here's a look at some great security programs for your Apple device.

Why Would I Want Protection?

Wanting protection is simply due to the fact that there's still people ridiculous enough to break into or steal information from a personal device. With people using devices for various personal uses, the information your device carries needs some form of protection to stay away from any ill-intentioned criminal.

Applications for Protection

Since there's a long list of effective applications to use for security, we're going to narrow down what deserves your attention when protecting your belongings. Such effective applications are:

  • mSecure - mSecure is your one stop shop in terms of password management. The options on mSecure are much more simple when compared to 1PasswordLock, but mSecure allows one to create highly secure passwords and the ability to segregate passwords.
  • Lookout - Lookout is much like Find My iPhone by giving the owner the ability to locate their device if it happens to go missing. How the program works is it uses your phone's GPS and (though the Lookout website) it allows you to locate where the missing device may be. In addition to this, Lookout saves the last location your device was (before it died) and then saves your contact list so it isn't lost with the missing product.
  • Best Phone Security Pro - Best Phone Security Pro is much like a passcode lock, but if someone tries to access your device without your permission (via password) the product sounds an alarm to gather attention. To make matters even better, the device will take a photo of the person trying to access the device as well.
  • Foscam Surveilliance Pro - Foscam is perfect for small business owners. It allows one to control up to six IP cameras to see what is going on at home/work without physically being present. Foscam even allows one to rotate the cameras to get a better view of what's going on.
